Welcome

Welcome

Hello, I'm EMILY.

Whether you're navigating a current issue, or holding onto longstanding difficulties, we can work together to bring your mind, body, and soul a sense of greater ease and flow.

My approach to therapy is led with curiosity and filled with empathy. My intention is to bring compassion, intuition, optimism, and authenticity to your therapy experience. I will provide you with encouragement, reflection, and guidance through your time of healing and growth.

I specialize in supporting clients on their path to self-discovery as they navigate feelings of anxiety and/or depression, or journey through relationship challenges and life transitions. I work with individuals as well as couples.

We'll use an integrated approach to tailor your therapy to your goals by combining interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Psychodynamic theories.

I'm a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #139180 working under the supervision of Dr. Sahar Martinez, LMFT #111456. We can work together in-person from my office in Irvine, or meet virtually if you are a resident of California.

A little more about my story...

You should know that I came to this career after many years of my own therapy. I sought out therapy to heal from a breakup, and discovered so much more about myself, my goals, and my purpose. Prior to becoming a therapist, I also received my MBA and worked for many years at various big tech companies. I understand firsthand the pressure and struggle that comes from seeking success in life, while feeling lost.

I believe that as a therapist, I can only take clients as far as I've gone in my own work, and because of this, I have deep commitment to my own personal growth, as well as yours.

Outside of therapy, I'm into yoga, manifestation, reading tarot cards, camping, historical fiction, and my dog Crosby.

Services

I offer individual and couple sessions, both in-person and virtually.

Your therapy will be tailored uniquely to your needs and goals.

I work from a holistic lens, incorporating techniques from CBT, psychodynamic, and Narrative Therapy theoretical orientations, as well as mindfulness-based and trauma informed interventions..

Teens

Being a teen is challenging. From navigating complex friendships, to balancing school with extracurriculars, and the looming pressure to determine what they want to do in adulthood, it can be very tough. Also consider the COVID-19 pandemic interrupting early life milestones, and its easy to see the stress the younger generation has been under. I'm here to provide a helpful, safe adult perspective..

Adults

Sometimes things in life just aren't working. If you find yourself struggling and unsure of what to do next. We can work together so that your time spent in distress is decreased and life feels less heavy. This is a highly personal process as each person presents a unique set of strengths and challenges. In our work together I'll tailor our time to fit your needs and support your goals.

Couples

Relationships can be presented with many challenges, whether you're struggling with infidelity or simply feeling unsure about how to best communicate with one another. I work with both partners to bridge gaps that contribute to poor communication and lost connection. We'll work to rediscover the positives and unwind patterns that aren't working in order to create a meaningful new phase of your relationship.
