Meet Emily

My approach to therapy is led with curiosity and filled with empathy. My intention is to bring compassion, intuition, optimism, and authenticity to your therapy experience. I will provide you with encouragement, reflection, and guidance through your time of healing and growth.

From an intellectual perspective, I use a holistic approach to tailor your therapy to your goals by combining interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Internal Family Systems theories. I also work very intuitively. As your therapist, I want to know your sun, moon, and rising signs — or explore and discover them alongside you, if it fits your interests!

I believe therapy can be the space that allows you to connect to your whole self — mind, body, and soul.

Throughout my career I have trained / worked/ become certified as a yoga instructor, health coach, tarot reader, and reiki healer. Its likely you’ll feel the blend of each of these experiences in our shared space together. Based on your interest and therapeutic needs, we can also integrate use of somatic movement and yogic breath work practices, along with strengthening trust in your own intuition with tools such as tarot cards, Reiki, astrology, manifestation, and guided meditation.

My Story

You should know that I came to this career after many years of my own therapy. Initially, I sought out therapy to heal from a breakup, and discovered so much more about myself, my goals, and my purpose. During that chapter of my life I had received my MBA , moved from New York to Massachusetts to California, and was working for big name tech companies, including YouTube, Google, LinkedIn, and Fitbit. Although that chapter feels closed now, I want you to know that I understand firsthand the pressure and struggle that comes from seeking success in life, while feeling lost.

When I returned to graduate school and shifted into therapeutic work, I also came upon a deep connection to my own intuition and abilities to manifest a life I loved that would be filled with authenticity. While studying, I was also connecting with people around the world and working with their energies through tarot and Reiki. Today I keep my intuitive work more personal, however, should it resonate with you, you’ll also see this intuitive work woven into your therapy sessions.

Somewhere along the way, I also met my now husband, and we recently welcomed our first child last fall. Becoming a mother has been as magical, hard, and unexpected as everyone told me it would be. During my pregnancy, I returned to regular therapy sessions of my own to yet again discover who I was becoming in this new chapter of life. Its my firm belief that every parent or parent-to-be is deserving of support during this major life transition. From this recent personal experience, I pursued my PMH-C credential (Perinatal Mental Health certification), and have a unique passion for supporting others on their path to and through parenthood.

  • what you’re currently reading and if you have any good historical fiction recommendations

  • the names of any pets you have; my dog’s name is Crosby and he’s obsessed with playing fetch
